What’s happening?

Queensland Country Bank has awarded one Townsville local a double pass to its Every Moment Pass promotion, giving Kelly Sheridan access to a huge year of live sport and entertainment at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in 2026.

The member-owned bank said the promotion was created as a way to give back to the community it serves. The campaign ran across Facebook and Instagram and ended with Sheridan named the winner.

Sheridan said she was already looking ahead to the events on the calendar.

“I’m so excited, I can’t believe I’ll get to see the Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses,” she said.

“But my heart will always be with the Cowboys!”

Why it matters

The promotion gives one local resident access to major events that may otherwise be difficult to afford.

Queensland Country Bank CEO Aaron Newman said the idea came at a time when many households were feeling the pressure of rising living costs.

“Through our partnership with Stadium’s Queensland, we saw an opportunity to create something really special, giving locals the chance to experience an incredible year of events, particularly at a time when cost-of-living pressures are front of mind for many,” he said.

“With international music acts and major sporting clashes on the calendar, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years yet for Queensland Country Bank Stadium.”

Local impact

The prize keeps the focus on Townsville, with a local winner set to attend a full year of major events in her own city.

It also highlights Queensland Country Bank’s push to support the community through more than banking, using local partnerships to create experiences for residents.

By the numbers

  • More than 3,500 entries were received after the Every Moment Pass promotion ran across Facebook and Instagram, showing strong interest from the Townsville community.
  • A full 2026 calendar is included in the prize, with access to major live sport and entertainment at Queensland Country Bank Stadium across the year.
  • Fourteen Cowboys matches are part of the pass, including 12 NRL games and two standalone NRLW games, with finals also included if the team qualifies.

Zoom out

Queensland Country Bank said the promotion reflects its role as a member-owned bank that aims to give back to the communities it serves.

The bank used its partnership with Stadium’s Queensland to create a prize built around local access to major events, rather than a one-off giveaway.

What to look for next

Kelly now has a full year of major events ahead, with Queensland Country Bank Stadium set to host a strong 2026 line-up of sport and live entertainment.
