He added, “I told my wife and she immediately thought it was some sort of practical joke. It was hard to convince her! It’s really hard to believe.”
The winning wife shared the disbelief. “I didn’t believe him at all! I also thought this entire time that we had won $500,000 instead of $1 million, so it’s a lovely surprise!”
“Wow! I can’t even fathom this type of money. You don’t ever expect it to happen to you. You always hear of people winning and think, ‘You lucky buggers!’. We’re so stunned.”
