QLD’s Selectability recognised at 2025 You are ACE Awards

What’s happening?

Ageing Australia has announced the winners of the 2025 You are ACE! Awards, which celebrate outstanding individuals, teams and organisations making a difference in aged care, retirement living and seniors housing.

A total of 15 winners were recognised across categories. Among them, Selectability, QLD, received the Organisation – Rural and Remote category award for its transformative work in remote and First Nations communities.

Why it matters

The award highlights Selectability’s impact in improving the lives of older Australians in regional and remote areas. The organisation was acknowledged as part of a diverse group of winners that included frontline care workers, volunteers, visionary leaders and innovative teams.

Ageing Australia CEO Tom Symondson said, “We received more than 500 nominations from across the country this year. These winners are true champions of aged care. Their dedication, innovation and leadership are shaping a better future for older people every day.”

Local Impact

Selectability joins other winners from across Australia recognised for setting a high standard in aged care. Its work in remote and First Nations communities places Queensland at the forefront of innovative care delivery.
