Lano & Woodley are taking their comedy into orbit, with Townsville confirmed as a stop on their expanded 2027 Australian tour.
Frank Woodley and Colin Lane will bring In Space to Townsville Civic Theatre on 29 April 2027 at 7pm. Tickets for the newly announced tour dates go on sale Wednesday, 23 September.
Why It Matters
The new dates follow the duo’s 2026 season and will take their latest production to audiences across regional and metropolitan Australia. In Space puts the pair aboard a spaceship. Commander Col is focused on an important mission, while co-pilot Woodley is considerably less focused on the task.
Colin Lane joked about the pair’s experience touring the show together.
“We’ve had a great run so far with Lano & Woodley in Space, and the response has been amazing. But after all this travelling together, I’m starting to think the show should now be called “Lano Needs Space.”

Townsville audiences will get their turn to see the pair’s latest comedy when the tour reaches Townsville Civic Theatre in April.

Frank Woodley joked about the show’s reception during its recent touring run.
“We’ve been touring the show for the last few months and unfortunately only one of the jokes is funny. Fortunately, it’s so funny the audience laugh for an hour after we tell it.”

Lano & Woodley’s comedy partnership has earned recognition in Australia and internationally.
Their early work won the Award for Best Comedy in Edinburgh, making them only the second Australian act to receive the award. They later returned to Australia to full houses and a television show co-produced with the ABC and BBC.
