Tom Dearden’s journey from Toowoomba to the NRL has been nothing short of remarkable.
Hailing from Mackay State High School and later Palm Beach Currumbin State High School, Dearden’s trajectory as a young rugby league prodigy saw him debut for the Brisbane Broncos at just 18 years old in 2019.
Thriving in Cowboys Colours
Since joining the Cowboys midway through the 2021 season, Dearden has been a pivotal force on the field. His relentless competitiveness during training sessions and games quickly earned him respect and admiration from both the coaching staff and teammates.
Rising through the ranks, he secured the coveted No. 6 jersey for the 2022 season and showcased his exceptional skills, earning a spot on Queensland’s State of Origin team and contributing significantly to the Cowboys’ journey to the preliminary final.

With 58 games, 22 tries, and 28 assists to his name in two and a half seasons with the Cowboys, Dearden’s impact on the team’s performance has been undeniable.
