What’s Happening?

Lane Pittman will bring live country music to the 2026 PBR Australia Grand Finals in Townsville. He will perform during Saturday night’s program, adding another drawcard to Australia’s biggest bull riding weekend.

The event brings the nation’s best riders together to contest Australia’s most prestigious buckle. Their grit, glory and guts will share the bill with one of Australian country music’s leading young stars.

Why It Matters

Raised in Tamworth, NSW, Pittman has moved quickly from local stages to stadium crowds. Now aged 20, he is among the most exciting names in Australia’s new country music generation.

In 2025, he joined Luke Combs on his Australian and New Zealand stadium tour. He later won his first Golden Guitar, receiving New Talent of the Year in 2026.

The Townsville booking follows a major period in Pittman’s career, marked by chart results, festival appearances and growing live audiences.

Local Impact

Townsville fans will get championship bull riding and a major live country performance in the same arena. Pittman also knows the PBR atmosphere well, connecting his performance directly with the sport’s existing audience.

The Grand Finals will be held at the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre. Pittman’s booking gives fans another reason to attend the national title weekend.

By the Numbers

The dates, audiences and chart results show the scale of the event and Pittman’s recent rise.

  • November 13 and 14: The Grand Finals will span two nights, with Pittman performing on Saturday, November 14.
  • Tens of thousands: Pittman performed to crowds of this size each night during Luke Combs’ 2025 stadium tour.
  • Three chart milestones: Amen For The Weekend reached No.1 on the Australian Country Radio Charts. WHAT NOW? reached No.3 on the ARIA Country Charts. Meanwhile, Miss You In The Morning spent two consecutive weeks inside the Australian country radio chart’s Top 5.

Zoom In

Pittman said Townsville’s PBR crowd was one he already knew well after attending events for many years.

“I’ve been going to PBR events for as long as I can remember. Being a spectator in that environment is so exciting,” Pittman said. “PBR Origin I in Newcastle this year was the first event I’d been to in a while, and it was a joy. I’m keen to get my boots in the dirt in the middle of that arena in Townsville this November for the Grand Finals and bring the energy!”

PBR Australia Managing Director Glen Young said Pittman’s background and live presence made him a strong fit for the event.

“Lane brings exactly the sort of energy we want at the Grand Finals; he’s young, authentic, country and absolutely electric live,” Young said. “This is already the biggest weekend on the Australian bull riding calendar, and having Lane perform adds another huge layer to the experience for fans.”

Zoom Out

Pittman’s breakout track, Amen For The Weekend, became one of the year’s defining Australian country releases. It also earned him a Golden Guitar nomination for Single of the Year.

This year, his second EP, WHAT NOW?, continued that momentum. Miss You In The Morning served as its lead single and added another strong radio result.

His live career also grew when he and his band made their international debut at Stagecoach Festival in California. He has since returned home, where work is underway on his debut album.

What To Look For Next?

The fiercely contested 2026 national title race will be settled during Townsville’s Grand Finals weekend. The season has already produced sold-out arenas and massive rides, so organisers are urging fans to book early.

Tickets are on sale now through the PBR Australia website.
