AIRAH brings Industry Nights to Townsville and Cairns

Source: AIRAH

What’s Happening?

AIRAH is bringing its Industry Nights program to North Queensland, with events planned for Townsville and Cairns in June.

The Victorian-based HVAC&R institution runs Industry Nights across Australia throughout the year. This month, the program will head north for a series of events aimed at HVAC&R professionals, tradespeople, innovators and engineers.

The Townsville and Cairns Industry Nights will feature technical presentations, industry updates and discussions on trends, challenges and technology shaping the built environment and HVAC&R sector.

The events are also designed to help professionals build their network, reconnect with the local industry community and meet new industry contacts.

AIRAH said the Industry Nights are also suited to businesses looking to showcase products, introduce new technologies and connect with key players in the HVAC&R industry.

Why It Matters

The HVAC&R sector plays a major role in buildings, energy use, comfort, refrigeration and workplace safety.

For North Queensland, local conditions make this work especially important. Townsville and Cairns both rely heavily on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems across homes, businesses, hotels, health services and major public buildings.

Bringing the Industry Nights to the region gives local professionals a direct way to hear updates, share knowledge and discuss changes affecting the sector.

It also gives suppliers, contractors and technical specialists a chance to meet face to face, rather than relying only on online contact.

By the Numbers

  • The Townsville and Cairns Industry Nights will each run for three hours, from 4 pm to 7 pm AEST, giving attendees time for presentations, updates and networking.
  • The Cairns Golf Day will use an 18-hole, 4-ball Ambrose format, giving industry peers a relaxed setting to reconnect after the Industry Nights.
  • Cairns Golf Day tickets are $110 per person, including GST for AIRAH members, and $130 per person, including GST for non-members.

Local Impact

The events will give Townsville and Cairns professionals more access to national industry discussion without leaving North Queensland.

For Townsville attendees, the Industry Night will take place at The Ville Resort-Casino, a central venue for business and industry gatherings.

For Cairns attendees, the Industry Night at Pullman Reef Hotel Casino will be followed by the Cairns Golf Day at Half Moon Bay Golf Club in Yorkeys Knob.

Together, the events create a short regional program for HVAC&R workers, suppliers, engineers and partners.

AIRAH’s Industry Nights are part of a year-round national program held across the country.

The events bring together tradespeople, innovators and engineers to discuss industry issues and make professional connections.

For businesses, the format also provides a setting for product launches, new technology introductions and relationship building within the HVAC&R sector.

The North Queensland events place Townsville and Cairns within that wider national program.
