What’s Happening?

Registrations are now open for stallholders and performers keen to join Our Townsville 2025, the city’s biggest annual celebration.

Set for Sunday, 15 June 2025 at Anderson Gardens, the free event will combine the best of Eco Fiesta, Heritage Day, Pet Expo, Mentally Healthy Expo, Get Active Expo, and Get Ready Day into one vibrant community day.

Townsville-based businesses, clubs, and organisations can now apply to run a stall or take part in performances, especially on the Global Rhythms Stage, which highlights local cultural talent.

Why It Matters

The event brings together everything Townsville loves – from its natural environment and heritage to culture, animals, wellbeing, and active living. It’s a one-day showcase of community pride, resilience, and diversity.

Acting Mayor Ann-Maree Greaney said, “Our Townsville brings together everything we love about Townsville – our culture, our animals, our health and safety, our heritage and our environment.”

She added, “We want to showcase the absolute best of our community, so jump online now to apply for this year’s event.”

Local Impact

The event creates a unique platform for local groups to connect with the wider community. It also supports economic activity through local stallholder engagement and promotes inclusiveness by welcoming diverse cultural performances.

“If you have a business, an organisation or a club that celebrates Townsville’s vibrant and adventurous lifestyle, you’re exactly the kind of stallholder we’re looking for,” Cr Greaney said.

“And if you have a cultural group or organisation with a flair for performing, we want to see you on the Global Rhythms Stage this year.”
